10.30am - 4.30pm at National Trust Footprint in Windermere, Cumbria
A day of exploring ancient techniques of friction fire-lighting in beautiful woodlands. The day also includes yoga, mindfulness and forest bathing, to offer opportunities for nurturing as well as a learning. We have the whole woodland and Footprint building all to ourselves to explore and retreat in.
This would be a great follow up day for those that have attended the Percussion Wild Fire workshop but it’s not essential to have done.
We shall cover:
- Identify, gather and preparation of tinder
- Identify and forage for materials to make bowdrills (which you can take home)
- Explore techniques of friction fire-lighting
- Campfire baking
- Yoga, mindfulness and forest bathing
It's an absolutely fantastic day for all women, no matter your experience. You can join in with as much or as little of the activities as you feel like on the day.. it's Y O U R day.
